My painting style is inspired by impressionism, with visible brushstrokes to capture movement, light, and the magical quality of your day. I take inspiration from multiple photos of the newlyweds and the venue to create an enchanting and unique composition.

the process

capturing the vision—
During a consultation call 4 to 6 weeks before your wedding date, we’ll confirm the details and create a full plan for your day. I can paint any moment you’d like to see captured, from a scene at the altar, to a posed portrait, to your first dance.

at the event—
I will arrive up to 2 hours early to your venue to set up and begin painting the background. I will personally capture a few photos of your chosen background and the moment you want to be painted. Guests can then watch your painting come to life as they enjoy your wedding day.

finishing touches—
At the end of the event, I’ll take the painting back to my studio for the finishing touches. A photo of the painting will be sent to you for one round of feedback and approval, and then the finished painting will be sealed with varnish and wired for hanging. Within 6 weeks, the painting will be ready to be shipped to your location.

frequently asked questions

What is needed to secure my date?

Submit the live wedding painting booking form, and I’ll be in touch within 7 business days to confirm if your date is available. A non-refundable deposit of $750 and a signed contract are required to secure your date. The deposit will be applied towards the total cost, which will be due 1 week prior to your wedding date.

What part of the day will be painted?

This is up to you! Moments that can be painted include exiting the altar, the first kiss, the first dance, or a staged portrait. We can work together during a consultation call to pick the scene that works best for your wedding.

What do you need from the venue?

I bring all of my own supplies.  Your venue will just need to provide a small painting area for me to set up. I will also need access to a nearby outlet, running water, and somewhere I can dump paint water.  If setting up outdoors during extreme weather conditions, I will need access to a covered area to paint.

What materials do you use?

  • Gallery-wrapped canvas with a 1.5" depth
  • Professional-grade acrylic paints
  • Mediums to add transparency and texture if needed
  • Satin varnish to seal and protect your painting from UV damage

Is framing included?

Framing is not included, but the edges of the canvas will be painted for a polished look. Wiring will be added to the back of the canvas so you can hang it up right away.

Do you travel?

I am available to travel to venues within Canada. There are no travel fees for venues within 50 km of Halton, Ontario. For venues further than a 50 km drive from Halton, a travel fee to cover gas will be added on top of the Package Price. For venues that are more than a 3 hour drive from Halton, travel fees may also include overnight accommodations or flights.

How long can you paint at my wedding?

I can paint at your wedding for up to 5 hours. This does not include the time it takes to set up and tear down my workspace.

Can you paint in multiple locations at the venue?

Due to the amount of time it takes to set up, I can only move my painting set-up one time during your event. If there is a gap of three hours or more between the end of your ceremony and the start of the reception, I will only be able to paint during one or the other.

When will I receive my finished painting?

The time required to finish your painting may vary depending on my schedule. After the event, the painting will be returned to my studio for finishing touches and varnishing. The painting will likely be ready to ship within 6 weeks.Your painting will be securely packaged and shipped to your location as an insured parcel. If shipping within Canada, shipping costs are included in the Package Price.
